Based on the successful British Television Series "Boy Meets Girl," this special takes a look at traditional gender roles in a unique way. Experts will transform three men into women and three women into men. The six individuals will live together for one month in a New York City apartment. This special will air commercial-free to commemorate the one-year anniversary of Sept. 11. American playwright Israel Horovitz will perform his one-hour monologue written as a personal account during the month immediately following the attacks on the World Trade Center.

"The Songwriters Hall of Fame"
Music producer Phil Ramone hosts the 33rd Annual induction ceremony honoring Sting, Barry Manilow, Randy Newman, Michael Jackson and Ashford & Simpson. In addition to the inductees, tribute was paid to Stevie Wonder, Garth Brooks, Carole King and James Taylor.

"Delia Smith's Christmas"
"The Martha Stewart of England" provides instruction on how to have a perfectly British holiday celebration.

"French and Saunders Special: Lord of the Rings"
Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders ("Absolutely Fabulous") once again "honor" a blockbuster film with their own interpretation. In their version of the Tolkien saga, a wide-eyed hobbit and an elderly Shakespearean actor venture out in search of an Oscar while two incompetent Australians try to provide the special effects.

"Graham Norton Goes to Dollywood"
Singer Dolly Parton has personally invited the hilarious Graham Norton to spend the holiday season at her self-themed amusement park, Dollywood. Watch Graham as he rides a roller coaster with fifty Dolly look-alikes and sings a duet with Ms. Parton as they float down a river in rubber inner tubes.

"Si Graham Norton"
British talk show host Graham Norton travels to Mexico to stay as the houseguest of a mariachi family, the Lunas. The accommodations may be free, but they are costly, as the family's band practice and squawking parrots keep him awake all night every night.

"Stanley Kubrick: A Life in Pictures"
Narrated by Tom Cruise, this special presents a portrait of the master director made by the people who knew him best. The documentary includes rare home movies featuring Kubrick as a young boy, and insight into his unfinished works, such as "Aryan Papers," "Napoleon" and "A.I." which was eventually made by Steven Spielberg.

"Sting Forever"
This three-part tribute features behind-the-scenes glimpses of Sting and his band in "Bring on the Night" and an in-depth interview with UK talk show host Michael Parkinson on "Parkinson: Sting." Premiere performances of favorite Sting songs "Don't Stand So Close To Me," "Roxanne" and "Every Breath You Take" can be seen on "Top of the Pops 2." The real-life homes of James Bond stars are featured in this special. "The Ship"
This six-hour, three-part miniseries partially recreates the most exciting and treacherous portion of Captain James Cook's historic 18th century circumnavigation of the world. The modern day crew consists of 40 men and women who range in age from 20 to 50 from different backgrounds and nationalities. They sailed on an exact replica of Cook's ship, the Endeavor, using 18th century navigational techniques.

Columnist Jimmy Breslin used to pass the same woman on the street every morning as he was walking home from his morning swin. They never spoke, but each day they exchanged smiles as they passed. After Sept. 11, she disappeared. This short film is based on the column he wrote about her.

"The Women of Rockaway Beach"
Almost every family in this small town in Queens, NY was affected by the events of Sept. 11. Nearly one third of the firefighters killed at the World Trade Center lived in this tight knit community, which was further devastated when American Airlines Flight 587 crashed into the neighborhood two months later.

"Chariot Race 2002"
This ancient predecessor of NASCAR used to be the hot ticket in ancient Rome. The outcomes of these games could cause riots and dethrone emperors. TLC recreates the races, pitting four modern teams against each other on a reconstructed Circus Maximus course in southern Spain.
